Zack and Holli Nicholson were married in 1999 and have 3 children, Maycee (4) Mick (2) and Jake (3 months). They moved to Kansas City in May of 2007 to be a part of the International House of Prayer (IHOP).
Zack is an licensed minister through Faith Community Church in Wichita, Kansas. He is taking training classes at the Forerunner School of Ministry and spends 20-25 hours a week in the Prayer Room.
Holli is a stay at home mom. She is involved with the healing room ministry team, the Children’s Equipping Center and the mom’s ministry at IHOP.
Our calling to IHOP began several years ago. After our first miscarriage we were reverently seeking the Lord about why this had happened. We were learning how to love God and receive His love in the middle of life circumstances. We went to a conference at IHOP and really felt the Lord drawing us nearer. Over the next few years we were awed by the truths we were learning about God's desire for us. The Lord began inviting us to Kansas City to give our lives to prayer. While searching our hearts, we asked why not give our lives in abandonment to God. The Lord showed us during this time how tied to this world we really are. We thought we would be able to give it all up for Jesus at any time, but giving up the house we built and the good money we made at our jobs was harder than we expected. After we attended the One Thing conference in 2005 God really showed us the seriousness of the hour and how little of an impact we were making. Our hearts began to be stirred for the things that are truly eternal. We decided to take 2006 and fast and pray for clear direction for our lives. We were convinced that giving our lives to prayer was the right thing to do. We want to live life with eternity in mind, we want our children to make an impact and fulfill their destinies.
